Book Review: Amy Inspired

Cover: Simplistic, yet beautiful.

Amy InspiredAmy Gallagher, an aspiring writer, has been living on lists, yet hasn't been able to accomplish much in life.  She is constantly looking for the perfect words to use that she has neglected everything else in life.  When Amy takes a breather, she realizes her family and friends are constantly living life, growing and changing as they see fit, except her.

Amy begins to have internal conflict when she sees her eccentric roommate Zoe who also is a writer getting easily published in periodicals where Amy has been rejected.  Other internal conflicts for Amy includes seeing her mother finding love, her brother getting married, and not knowing who the mysterious Eli is (once he moved in with Amy and Zoe).   She also faces the conflict if she should just "break" her lists and take risks and live life.

Amy Inspired by Bethany Pierce was an enjoyable read.  I liked the fact that Amy could be someone you may personally know instead of some unrealistic person.  It is nice to read about what the "average" person is like.

I give Amy Inspired: 4 out of 5 stars.

FTC:  I received a copy through Bethany House.  The above image is an Amazon link.
